Job Profile: Head – Procurement

This profile requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, technical knowledge of industrial equipment, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. Proficiency in SAP and analytical skills for cost optimization are also key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure spares and parts for Injection Moulding Machines, Hot Runners, Utility & Assembly line equipment.
• Manage AMC contracts and work orders for operational efficiency.
• Handle CAPEX procurement including Boilers, Compressors, Generators, Vessels, Cooling Towers, etc.
• Oversee import procurement processes end-to-end including vendor finalization, payment terms, freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
• Source raw materials (HDPE, PP, LDPE, Master Batch, Ink and Solvents) and packaging materials (corrugated boxes, wooden/plastic pallets, stretch films).
• Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply and quality.
• Ensure on-time deliveries, effective cost optimization, and compliance with company standards.
• Drive procurement strategies using SAP and analytical tools for reporting and cost control.
• Manage procurement of plant consumables and utility spares.

Preferred Background:

• 15+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the plastic processing industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery and plant operations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

Qualifications:

• B. Tech. / Diploma in Engineering or MBA in Supply Chain/Operations.
