Job Responsibilities:
Conduct chemical and physical testing of raw materials and finished metal products.
Perform sand testing (moisture, permeability, strength, etc.) for foundry processes.
Analyze metal composition using spectrometer and other lab equipment.
Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare reports.
Ensure quality standards are met as per company and industry requirements.
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments regularly.
Assist production team in troubleshooting quality-related issues.
Follow safety and quality control procedures in the lab.
Key Skills Required:
Knowledge of foundry materials and testing methods
Experience with spectrometer and lab testing equipment
Understanding of quality control processes
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, reporting)
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Qualification:
Diploma / B.Sc. in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or related field
Additional Requirements:
Experience in foundry or metal industry is mandatory
