Duty Time: 12 Hours (8 Hours active duty, additional shift support as required)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Melter to oversee and manage the melting process in our foundry. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in metallurgy, hands-on experience in foundry operations, and the ability to maintain quality and efficiency standards. This is a senior-level position requiring excellent technical skills and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Melting Operations:

   • Supervise and manage all melting processes in the foundry.
   • Ensure proper charge preparation, furnace operation, and metal pouring to meet production requirements.

2. Quality Control:

   • Monitor and maintain the quality of molten metal.
   • Conduct sample tests to ensure compliance with production standards and specifications.

3. Furnace Management:

   • Oversee the maintenance and operation of induction furnaces or other melting equipment.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve furnace-related issues to avoid downtime.

4. Process Optimization:

   • Optimize melting cycles to achieve maximum efficiency and reduce waste.
   • Implement continuous improvements in the melting process.

5. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and guide the melting team to ensure smooth operations.
   • Train and mentor junior staff on best practices and safety standards.

6. Safety and Compliance:

   • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols during melting operations.
   • Maintain compliance with environmental and industrial regulations.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate records of melting processes, furnace usage, and material consumption.
   • Prepare daily/weekly reports for management review.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/B.E. in Metallurgy or a related field.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in a foundry as a Melter or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of melting processes, metallurgy, and furnace operations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Understanding of safety and compliance regulations.
