Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Foundry Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage the maintenance of equipment and machinery in our foundry. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of all foundry machinery, reduce downtime, and implement preventive maintenance strategies to maximize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Operations:

   • Plan, execute, and oversee maintenance schedules for all foundry equipment and machinery.
   • Perform regular inspections to ensure optimal performance and minimize breakdowns.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

   • Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs promptly to avoid production delays.
   • Address emergency maintenance issues to ensure seamless operations.

3. Preventive Maintenance:

   • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for foundry machinery.
   • Ensure all equipment is serviced in a timely manner to prevent unexpected failures.

4. Equipment Management:

   • Monitor the performance of foundry equipment, including furnaces, molding machines, and cranes.
   • Recommend and oversee the replacement or upgrade of machinery when necessary.

5. Spare Parts Management:

   • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and ensure their availability for timely repairs.
   • Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of quality spare parts.

6. Safety and Compliance:

   • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety protocols and industry standards.
   • Promote a culture of safety among the maintenance team.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

   • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and downtime reports.
   • Provide regular updates to management on maintenance progress and issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in maintenance roles within the manufacturing or foundry industry.
• In-depth knowledge of foundry machinery and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance techniques.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong adherence to safety standards.
