Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lab Chemist to join our team at a reputed foundry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing raw materials and products, and ensuring quality compliance. This role requires attention to detail and a strong background in biological and chemical analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Laboratory Testing:

   • Conduct routine chemical and biological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
   • Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

2. Quality Control:

   • Monitor and maintain quality standards for all materials and products.
   • Analyze test results and recommend adjustments to improve product quality.

3. Sample Preparation:

   • Collect and prepare samples for testing in accordance with standard protocols.
   • Maintain proper labeling and documentation of all samples.

4. Equipment Maintenance:

   • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
   • Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting of lab equipment.

5. Data Recording and Reporting:

   • Accurately record test results and maintain detailed laboratory records.
   • Prepare and submit test reports to management on a regular basis.

6. Compliance and Safety:

   • Adhere to safety and environmental regulations in all laboratory activities.
   • Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals and biological materials.

7. Process Improvement:

   • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and testing methods.
   • Collaborate with production and quality teams to implement improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.Sc. in Biology or M.Sc. in Biology.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or foundry industry.
• Strong knowledge of chemical and biological testing procedures.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
• Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
