Job Description:

We are urgently seeking Senior Maintenance Fitters to join our reputed foundry team in Bhilai. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the smooth functioning of foundry equipment and machinery. This is a critical role requiring technical expertise and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance:

   • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of foundry machinery and equipment.
   • Ensure proper functioning of machines like furnaces, molding machines, and other mechanical systems.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

   • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
   • Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.

3. Installation and Setup:

   • Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
   • Ensure proper alignment and calibration of machines during installation.

4. Daily Inspections:

   • Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify potential issues.
   • Report maintenance needs and equipment performance to the supervisor.

5. Safety and Compliance:

   • Follow all safety protocols and ensure the safe operation of machinery.
   • Adhere to company policies and industry standards during maintenance activities.

6. Documentation:

   • Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment logs.
   • Assist in preparing maintenance schedules and reports.

7. Team Collaboration:

   • Work closely with the production team to minimize operational disruptions.
   • Support junior staff with training and guidance on machine maintenance practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or Technical fields.
• 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/foundry industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and mechanical drawings.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
